Cervical spine and shoulder conditions, exercise prescription.

WHAT MAKES TRUDY A GREAT PHYSIOTHERAPIST?

“I have a naturally empathic nature, which has been further honed by working on myself. I often get thanks from patients for being an excellent listener and someone who really hears them. This helps me to engage in a fruitful, collaborative partnership with my patients where we can achieve step-by-step recovery together. I’m also excellent at exercise-prescription, so when it’s time for my patients to continue their rehabilitation journey with less support, they feel well-equipped to do so successfully.”

WHAT DOES TRUDY ENJOY DOING OUTSIDE OF WORK?

Since moving to Australia two years ago, I have caught the surfing “bug”. Most weekends I will therefore be on the coast catching waves. During the week, I practice yoga/dance and enjoy cooking delicious and nutritious food. I have a background in football, having previously played for East London Ladies FC, and in equestrian sports, having previously worked as a rider/groom for showjumping, eventing and hunting yards in both the UK and New Zealand. Aside from physical activity, I enjoy arts and culture and regularly attend exhibitions, gigs and DJ events spanning a variety of different mediums and genres.
