PROFESSIONAL WORK HISTORY:
I completed my bachelor’s in Physiotherapy at Griffith University in December 2023. While completing my bachelor’s degree, I worked as a physiotherapy assistant with a semi-professional Football Club, providing acute assessment and management while working alongside strength and conditioning coaches. I have also worked alongside strength and conditioning coaches at Adapt and Science of Fitness. Having completed my bachelor’s in Physiotherapy, I’m excited to work with people of differing backgrounds to help them live pain-free lives and get back to the activities they enjoy the most.
SPECIALTY/INTEREST AREAS:
Sporting injuries
Low back pain
Neck pain
Shoulder injuries
Knee injuries
I have a keen interest in treating people with sporting injuries since I am a massive sports fan, especially regarding combat sports and soccer. I am good at treating low back, neck, shoulder, knee and ankle injuries since I have gone through these injuries myself in the past, and through research and personal experience, I have learned some valuable skills.
WHAT MAKES SAMIR A GREAT PHYSIOTHERAPIST?
I believe a great physio has strong interpersonal skills and empathy. A physio who has these important skills will be able to identify the unique needs and challenges of each client, address the issues that may impede recovery and help build rapport with the client, providing emotional support while also involving the patient in their care plan. This will empower the patient to take control of their health.
WHAT DOES SAMIR ENJOY DOING OUTSIDE OF WORK?
I like spending my free time working out and playing sports especially soccer and martial arts. I enjoy hanging out with friends and family and eating some delicious food.
